Dr. Ramona Holmes is Professor of Music at Seattle Pacific University in Washington, where she teaches general music and string pedagogy. Prior to this position she taught elementary string music for 20 years in the Seattle and Shoreline School Districts. Her doctoral work included both ethnomusicology and music education at the University of Washington. She has performed as a violinist with Radost Folk Dance Company and has studied fiddling in Ireland, Estonia, Cape Breton and Scotland.
Her publications include co-authorship of World On A String: A Sampling of Music Traditions Around the World for string orchestra.
