Michael Geiger is in great demand as a session singer (bass), concert and recording artist, producer and arranger in the Los Angeles area. Over the past three decades, he has performed regularly with the Los Angeles Master Chorale (10 seasons), the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Opera Chorus under Placido Domingo (18 seasons). He has also appeared with various early music ensembles such as the Millennium Consort, the Los Angeles Chamber Singers, Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra, I Cantori de Los Angeles, and de Angelis Vocal Ensemble of Orange County. Mr. Geiger is also Music Director and Founder of GEIGER20, a professional recording vocal ensemble.

Michael has performed on the soundtracks of over 150 feature films, television and radio commercials, and video games, including ER, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Days Of Our Lives, The Gilmore Girls, J.A.G., an Emmy nominated episode of Malcolm in the Middle, Family Guy, and the soundtracks of The Sixth Sense, Jurassic Park, Polar Express, Spiderman, The Matrix, Watchmen, Wolverine, Star Trek, Avatar, World of Warcraft, God of War and Assassin’s Creed.

Michael's sound recording credits include work as a singer and arranger with Celine Dion, Linda Ronstadt, Barbra Streisand, Leanne Rimes, The Bill Elliot Swing Orchestra, the art-rock ensemble DREDG, Busta Rhymes, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He appears on the GRAMMY Award winning DVD recording of Los Angeles Opera’s production of The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahogany by Kurt Weill, La Traviata, featuring Rolando Villazon and Renee Fleming, and on the Los Angeles Master Chorale’s GRAMMY nominated recording Lux Aeterna, featuring the music of Morten Lauridsen. He appears on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th installments of the GRAMMY nominated children’s music project, Beethoven’s Wig, as singer, arranger, and most recently, as co-producer with Richard Perlmutter. Michael’s first arranging effort for Alfred was as arranger/transcriber for Beethoven’s Wig Sing-a-long Song Book.

Michael received his early musical training in choral conducting under the tutelage of the late Mel Ivey at Western Michigan University and the late Howard Swan at the University of California, Irvine. He has studied vocal performance and pedagogy with Nina Hinson and Judith Natalucci and studied acting with the great Metropolitan Opera Bass, Giorgio Tozzi. As a teacher, Michael is on staff at LA Classical Studios in Pasadena, California, providing instruction in beginning and intermediate classical guitar, basic musicianship, sight-reading, and aural comprehension. He is also engaged as a cantor of chanted Daily Offices at St. Matthews Anglican Catholic Church in Newport Beach, California.

Michael is professionally represented by the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), and American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA). He is the husband of Gayle and a full time father of three.
