A music educator with over 25 years of teaching experience in the public and private school settings, Franklin D. Adams, Jr., is co-founder of MusicAlliance, which provides band programs for private and parochial schools in Northeast Ohio. He currently serves as an administrator and band teacher for the organization. Mr. Adams enjoys sharing his passion for music with the students he works with and helping them to discover the positive force that music participation can be in their lives. He holds a B.A. in music education from Anderson University (IN) where he was named to the National Dean's List and inducted into the Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honors Society.
Prior to his involvement with MusicAlliance, Adams spent four years as a public school band and general music teacher in southeast Ohio, and then was employed for eleven years as an elementary and junior high parochial school band director in the Cleveland (OH) area with Musical Youth, Inc. Adams was honored with numerous awards while with Musical Youth, including the Principal's Commendation Award, Low Drop Award, Highest Enrollment Percentage Award, and the Positive and Professional Teacher of the Year Award.
Mr. Adams has been composing music for his school bands throughout his teaching career and is currently published by Alfred Music Publishing and C. Alan Publications. Adams holds professional membership in the National Association for Music Education, the Ohio Music Education Association, and ASCAP.
